Dr. Maylei Blackwell received her Ph.D. in the History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000.  In 2008, she graduated from Lionheart Institute of Transpersonal Energy Healing becoming a certified Energy Healing Practitioner and opening Blue Sage Healing Arts in Long Beach, California. She later graduated with her Body Mind Counselor degree in 2013.

Her energy healing and spiritual counseling specializes in helping people unblock their creativity and unleash their talent in service of their dreams.  Maylei joined the teaching staff of the Lionheart Institute of Los Angeles in 2010.  She is a gifted teacher who has taught undergraduate and graduate students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) for the past 17 years.  She is a researcher, award-winning author and poet.
